Our New Chickens

We drove outside of town and met up with some folks that had chickens. They sold us 2 of them for $15, not sure if that is a good or bad deal as I’ve never bought chickens that were alive?

We put them in boxes and loaded them up in the back of the Honda.

Took them in the backyard and showed Kitty. He didn’t know what to do.

Unpacked them

Happy New Home:

We need to buy some feed and I am going to make them their own coup instead of the greenhouse. They poop a lot and I am not sure what that would do to the plants in there.

Jaminate the Countryside + PR Info

I talked to Carlos in PR today about the status of the title. He said that they are just waiting on the department of resources to accept some property. Apparently in the title registration process, there was a spot of the land that was needed by the government to gain access to the river. An easement. So they are just waiting on them to accept the deed for that area, I am not sure how big of an area it is. He is going to call the lender’s attorney and see if we can re-apply for the loan now.

Things might be moving forward at least a bit!

Also in prepration for moving (not actually but maybe?) I got a new guitar so I can play some music in PR. I need to learn how to play some salsa, or maybe folks in PR would be interested in hearing rock? But here is the new guitar.

It is a 90’s era American Stratocaster Plus. I traded two other guitars I had and a little cash for it. I’d rather have 1 guitar that I really like as opposed to 2 that I don’t really care for.

Since this is a blog post, its only fitting to have some extra multi-media to get the full effect. I went downstairs and used my little mp3 player which has a horrible mic on it to record a 3 chord riff. Since the riff is specifically for this blog. Its “blogjam”.

I need to learn how to play Salsa. But I am a bass player first and think that would be the best way to start out in a new genre. On bass.

Pikes Peak Hill Climb (Colorado Event)

My friends and I have been going to this hill climb for a number of years. Here is a video from near the summit (Devils Playground). They just recently paved it as it used to be dirt all the way to the top. The race dates back to 1915 and is pretty spectacular to see. At the top there aren’t any trees, the air is too thin so it presents a challenge for cars that run on gas. There have been a few electric cars in the event too.

I went to the race a few years ago and had a good time, I’ve not been back since its been paved.
