I didn’t know they have mulberries in PR… I love them and have them growing here in Illinois. I pick and freeze our raspberries and mulberries when in season. I just love your beautiful property and all the amazing foods that you can grow!

Yes, mulberries are one of my favorites here! I was surprised too, but it is one of the trees I would recommend to anyone who wants to plant a tree and start eating off of it within one season! This tree fruits so much that we daily walk by with a brimming full hand. And there are twice as many red ones that will be ready the next day (s). This is still just an adolescent tree too, so I imagine it will be a big producer when full grown. The branches are very bendy which makes it super easy to harvest even from the top. And it is one of the few soft berries that grows abundantly here in Puerto Rico without too much effort unlike strawberries or blueberries, etc.

That is awesome! We have many growing around our yard (2 acres) that the birds seem to be propagating with seeds. When I mow, I’m always stopping under a tree to grab a handful. You may start to notice other trees growing too!
