Oscar De La Hoya Fight

Last night we went over to our friends Chris and Sandi’s house in Commerce City to watch the Oscar De La Hoya fight against Pachiou (sp?). It was quite embarrassing how bad De La Hoya looked compared to Pac. He was slow and old and just got pummeled.

Anyway, it was fun getting together with friends and later that night we played Dominos or “bones”. Britton and I played as a team and I think we took second, not bad for never playing that particular version of Dominos.

    Hi Kevin,
Thanks for visiting our site! What made you think of moving to Greeley out of all places in the US? Both my husband and I were born here in Greeley and it is a pretty nice place to live. We are planning to move to Puerto Rico at some point mainly because of the weather in the winter here (lots of snow and cold and wind!) and because we want to try something different as well.

Greeley is fairly inexpensive to live compared to Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins but it is kind of a sleepy town with not a whole lot of night life. The people are all pretty friendly with people greeting each other on the street, smiling etc.

The main industry is the meat packing plant/slaughterhouse called Swift and because of all the feedlots out east of town it can sometimes stink up the town, but it is not bad all the time.

If you like a pretty quiet town in the mid-west, I would recommend it to you. It’s not too far from the mountains either if you like skiing or snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, etc. If you like more fast-paced life with a lot of night-life, then it’s probably not for you. Greeley is also fairly conservative for being a moderately large city (about 80,000-100,000 people) when you compare it to Denver, Fort Collins and Boulder, but there is a good mix of people.

Maybe I’ll make a blog post for other’s like you. Thanks again and visit often 🙂
